Which windshield fits your cart
Windshields are model specific: rail spacing, cowl curve and hinge height differ between a Club Car DS, a Precedent and an EZGO TXT. Match the cart first, then the reference number.

Clear or tinted, folding or fixed
- Clear acrylic gives maximum visibility in low light and looks closest to factory trim.
- Tinted acrylic cuts glare and heat build-up and hides light scratches over time.
- Folding / hinged designs let you flip the shield down on hot days; a sealed hinge keeps wind noise and rattle down.
Thickness matters more than most owners expect: a 5 mm (3/16 in) acrylic shield stays rigid and resists cracking at the mounting holes, while thin 3 mm shields flex at speed and rattle against the struts. Acrylic is the standard material for replacement golf cart windshields because it holds the factory curved shape and stays clear; polycarbonate bends further but scratches more easily.
Install in about five minutes
- Leave the protective film on while you handle the shield, and rest it on the foam packing.
- Remove the old shield and keep the original clips if they are undamaged.
- Seat the new shield on the front strut rails at the factory mounting points.
- Push the long and short sash clips into the rail channel; the snug fit is what keeps the shield quiet at speed.
- Peel the film from both faces, fold the shield down and up a few times, and check the hinge seals evenly across the width.
Care
- Rinse with plain water before wiping so grit does not drag across the acrylic.
- Use a soft microfiber cloth and mild soap; avoid paper towels, scouring pads and ammonia-based cleaners.
- Check the clips and hinge bolts monthly, especially after rough terrain use.
- Store a spare shield flat and covered if the cart sits for the off-season.

Will a Club Car DS windshield fit a Precedent?
No. DS and Precedent use different rail spacing and hinge height, and the shields are listed separately. Match the shield to the cart model and reference number on the listing.
Do I need to drill new holes?
